A Franklin restaurant is having a kick-off event to discuss a program that will help nonprofit agencies in the community.
Triple Play BBQ, 176 W. Jefferson St., is kicking off its Dine to Donate 365 program from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today.
The program seeks to help multiple nonprofit organizations in the community by allowing diners to choose what nonprofit organization they would like to support any time they eat at the restaurant.
Nonprofits must be certified 501C-3 programs that are registered with the restaurant. Diners can see which organizations they can choose from in the restaurant’s main hall. Three and a half percent of the diner’s check would go to the restaurant they chose to support.
The event is meant to introduce nonprofit leaders to the program. Each organization may have two people in attendance, and they must bring their 501C-3 letters to be eligible. Leaders are asked to RSVP to [email protected].
