STARRUCCA, Pa. — State police have charged a woman with criminal homicide in the death of a former boyfriend whose body was found at his northeastern Pennsylvania home.

Police said 31-year-old Cassandra Mercincavage was found at a Moosic hotel and arrested in the death of 49-year-old Robert Hubal.

Hubal was found dead at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday at his home in Thompson Township, Susquehanna County. Police said it appeared that he had been shot in the head and torso. An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday.

Police said that Mercincavage had been living with Hubal but their relationship recently ended. Hubal’s missing pickup was found not far from where the suspect was located.

Court documents don’t list an attorney for Mercincavage and a listed number for her couldn’t be found Monday.
