SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — State police say a driver who got out of her vehicle at a toll booth on the Garden State Parkway was injured when the moving vehicle pinned her against a wall.

The accident occurred shortly before noon Monday in Saddle Brook.

It’s not yet known why the 69-year-old Fair Lawn woman got out of the vehicle at the northbound toll plaza. But authorities say she apparently didn’t realize it wasn’t in park, and the rolling car soon struck her.

Emergency responders freed the woman and took her to the hospital, where she was being treated for a leg injury, The woman’s name and further details on her condition were not disclosed.
