BALTIMORE — Two men have been killed in separate shootings in Baltimore, bringing the total number of homicides to 268 this year.

Police found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head early Sunday in northeast Baltimore. Then on Sunday afternoon, an 18-year-old man died after being shot in the chest, also in the northeast part of the city.

A total of four people were killed in shootings in the city over the weekend.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the city’s per capita murder rate is on pace to set a record for the third year in a row.
