Police ask for help identifying suspects

A car, credit cards and other items were stolen from a Center Grove area home earlier this week, and the sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two people it believes are connected to the burglary.

While residents of a home in the 3000 block of Villas Drive were attending a funeral Tuesday morning, a vehicle, credit cards, medication, a laptop and other items were stolen from their home, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.

A service door to the garage had been forced open. Inside the home, a purse, medicine cabinet, drawers and dressers appeared to have been rummaged through, the report said.

The stolen credit cards were used at businesses the same day as the burglary, Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Deputies are now asking the public for help identifying a man and woman captured by surveillance cameras at those stores, he said.
