INDIANAPOLIS
Evelyn M. Royer, 91, Indianapolis, passed away September 29, 2017. Born on Dec. 17, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late William C. Pottschmidt and Wilhemina, she was a Center Grove High School graduate. Evelyn retired from Diamond Chain.
She was a longtime member of St. Mathews Lutheran Church and current member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
She cherished her role as a Mother & Grandmother, and enjoyed camping, traveling and bird watching.
Survivors include children, Alvin Royer (Christina) and Paula Davidson (Paul John); nine grandchildren, Kenny Light (Billie), Nathaniel Davidson (Shawn), Kristen Williams (Josh), Rick Davidson (Ashley Stalcup), Raymond Davidson (Emily Grove), Christopher Royer, David Royer, Katelyn Royer; seven great grandchildren, Joshua & Amy Royer, Emma, Owen, Ava, Olivia, and Rayden Davidson; and brother Raymond Pottschmidt (Eleanor).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Paul E. Royer, sisters, Helen Emmelman, Irene Stanonik; brother, William Pottschmidt, granddaughter, Sara Marie Davidson, and great grandson, Brian Lacy.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave and from 10 to 11 a,m, Thursday, Oct. 5 at Calvary Lutheran Church, followed by the funeral service there at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
