FLINT, TEXAS
Harold “David” Simpson, 62, formerly of Greenwood, passed away August 25,2017 at his home in Flint, Texas.
David graduated from Greenwood Community High School, class of 1974 and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. He also earned a pistol expert, rifle expert and a good conduct medal.
He found employment with C. Construction Co., David held the position of project superintendent with RPR Construction Co.
He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, NRA and the Historical Aviation Museum.
He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, spending time with loved ones, sailing, and the beach. He adored his grandkids.
David was preceded in death by his father, Harold Edmond Simpson.
David is survived by his son, Corey (Tara), of Tyler, daughter, Kelly (Bobby) of Flint; grandchildren, Katelynn and John Steel; mother, Juanita; sister, Edna (Dan) Francis; brothers, George and Paul (Sharanne); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Auburn United Church in the pavilion on Saturday, October 7, at 4 p.m. Dress is casual, jeans and western wear encouraged.
