A recording of conversations between Cindy Wolff and her son, who was an inmate at the Johnson County jail, was not played in a subsequent court hearing where court officials discovered Wolff had not disclosed that she was the mother of the man and had instead represented herself as his therapist only in his criminal proceedings.
The relationship was discovered when the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office contacted the victim’s mother, who told them that Wolff was the suspect’s mother.
This was incorrect in a story in Wednesday’s newspaper.
