Roncalli takes down Flashes

Roncalli played in the final round of sectionals Thursday and beat Franklin Central 4-1.

The Rebels got singles points at No. 1 (Bryson Meek), No. 2 (Alex Payne) and No. 3 (Austin Schofield), and the No. 2 doubles team of Garrett Meek and Tyle Schofield also brought home a win.

Roncalli plays at Center Grove on Tuesday in a regional semifinal.

Edinburgh falls to Columbus North

Edinburgh lost to Columbus North 5-0 in a sectional semifinal Thursday.

Kevin Lin, Joey Zhao and Akshaya Sabapathy swept the singles matches for Columbus North to clinch the match.

Greenwood gets first victory

Yael Lugo scored on a penalty kick with five seconds left to give Greenwood its first win of the season Wednesday against Southwestern (Shelby).

Lugo’s tally came after Hudson Welliver was tackled from behind in the penalty box.


Roncalli defeats Franklin Central

Led by Betsy Crosley with 12 kills and nine digs, Roncalli took down Franklin Central on Thursday in the second round of the Marion County Tournament. Laura Fey picked up her 1,000th career assist.
