A handgun and other items were reported stolen from vehicles parked in a Center Grove area neighborhood over the weekend.
A handgun, three pairs of sunglasses valued at $300, a radar detector and change was stolen from three cars in the Wakefield neighborhood, north of Smith Valley Road and east of State Road 37, overnight Saturday, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports said.
The thefts were reported in the 600 block of Sutton Drive, the 5000 block of Wakefield Road and the 300 block of Wales Court, the reports said.
Two of the residents told deputies that they had left their vehicles unlocked, the reports said.
