FOUNTAINTOWN
Roger D. Scales, 65, of Fountaintown, passed away at 2:43 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis.
He was born March 30, 1952 in Sullivan, to Gerald D. Scales and Norma J. (Jeffers) Scales.
Survivors include his children, Candy (Nolan) Wilson of Linton, Jeremy D. (Heather) Scales of Nashville; grandchildren, Tyler Monroe, Tashia Fultz, William Monroe, Collin Scales, Jayda Scales and Cerenity Scales; great-grandchildren, Keegan Monroe, Kayden Monroe, Trenton Fultz; siblings, John Scales of Sullivan, Dennis Scales of Shelburn, Terry Scales of Linton, Barney Scales of Illinois, Kenny Scales of Hymera, Gloria Scales of Farmersburg; many nieces, nephews and cousins; companion, Shelly “Shell” Christie of Fountaintown, and her son, Shane Allen Christie of Fountaintown.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger retired from Hunt Paving Co.
He was a member of the Teamster Local No. 135 and the Labor Union Local No. 120. He held a combo card and drove a truck.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 2 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Quick officiating.
Interment will be at Johnson Cemetery in Graysville.
