Police: Teens held at gunpoint

An underage girl told police that two boys, one of them 14 years old, came to her Greenwood home, put a loaded gun to her head and robbed her of the marijuana she was planning to sell them, police said.

No one was injured. The police were called about 8 p.m. Tuesday and began investigating. At least five teens were involved, all between 14 and 16 years old, Greenwood police said.

Officers found the gun, the stolen marijuana and more marijuana. In all, four homes were searched, including the home on Lawndale Drive where the robbery occurred, a Greenwood police report said.

Two of the teens involved in the robbery were arrested and taken to the juvenile detention center, the report said.

The girl told police that two males came to her home, pulled out a gun, chambered a round and put it to her head, saying “give me everything you have,” the report said.

Police could smell marijuana on the girl and in the home, the report said. When the officer started asking questions, the robbery victim and a family member explained that they had arranged a drug deal with the boys, the report said.

The officer found marijuana, smoking pipes, a digital scale and a grinder in the home.

Police went to one of the boy’s home and found marijuana in a Star Wars bag, just as the robbery victim described it. That teenage boy told police he and another boy went to the home under the guise of buying marijuana but had planned the robbery, the report said. After the robbery, they ran to an apartment complex and split the drugs three ways, including with another teen who was not at the home during the robbery, the report said.

At another teen’s home, police found marijuana and a grinder, and the teen told police where he had hid the gun used in the robbery. Police found the weapon in a tire outside the home, the report said.
