To the editor:
My name is Allen McDonald. I am 23 years old. I, too, have noticed a serious epidemic with opioid abuse.
However, I don’t feel as though this is a problem for President Donald Trump’s to-do list. The root source is enabling. The world sees this problem as a “disease,” which in turn provides addicts with an excuse to justify themselves.
When in reality, if the world would look at said people and say, “hey, open your eyes,” we might begin to be able to tackle this problem. But I digress. I’m one voice of many.
