Kylie Anne Kireta

Ms. Kylie Anne Kireta, age 23, of Franklin, entered this life on April 5, 1994 in Crown Point.

She was the loving daughter of Andrew G. “Andy” Kireta Jr. formerly of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Melissa Kay “Missy” King Kireta, formerly of Hanover.

She resided early in life in Crown Point, and lived in Franklin since 1999.

Kylie was a 2012 graduate of Franklin Community High School and had run cross country and track. She was a 2016 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in movement and sports science.

Kylie was in grad school at Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio, pursuing her degree of doctorate of physical therapy.

She had participated in the Dance Marathon to support Riley Hospital. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and Grace United Methodist Church. She also attended Emmanuel Church of Greenwood.

During her college summer breaks, she worked for Franklin Parks and Recreation and for the past year before grad school, she worked for Hayden Physical Therapy in Greenwood.

Kylie was always the ‘fun one” in her family and could light up the world with her beautiful smile. She was a great socializer and loved being involved with her sisters at Delta Gamma sorority and her DPT classmates.

She loved running, Purdue sports and boating with friends and family on the lake.

Taking the family dog, Meeko, on walks and runs was one of her many enjoyments.

Kylie was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and beloved friend.

Kylie died on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 8:15 a.m. at her apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kylie will be missed by her heartbroken parents, Andy and Missy Kireta of Franklin; her beloved sister, Madison Kathleen “Madi” Kireta of Franklin; her loving paternal grandparents, Andy Sr. and Linda Kireta of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; her loving great-grandma, Fae Kireta of Enhaut, Pennsylvania; her loving aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Bill Hensler of Kent, Trina and Christian Hanson of Madison, Indiana, Rocky King of Hanover, Indiana, Melissa and Greg Gonville of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Jennifer and Todd Yeakel of Newville, Pennsylvania, Katelyn and Tyler Craig of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; her devoted cousins, Katie Hensler, Ross Hensler, Kingsley Hanson, Abby Hanson, Katelyn King, Dayton King, Alex Yeakel, Parker Yeakel, Brylie Yeakel, Chase Yeakel, Kamryn Gonville, Keagan Gonville and Connor George; her great-uncles and great-aunts, Donald Joe and Betty King of Franklin, Bud and Marie King of Rushville, Indiana, Gladys Hogg of Frostproof, Florida, Renavae “Peg” Adams of Madison, Indiana, Glen “Poss” Whitaker of Dupont, Indiana, Tommy and Marion Whitaker of Calhoun, Georgia, Sally Whitaker and Wanda Whitaker of Lexington, Kentucky, John and Nancy Rubinic of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Rose and Bill Smoker of Thompsontown, Pennsylvania, Sandy and Tom Chilicote of Grantham, Pennsylvania, Alan Kireta of Enhaut, Pennsylvania; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Delbert O. King, who died December 21, 1999 and Kathleen Whitaker King, who died November 17, 1982; her paternal great-grandfather, Charles Kireta, who died in October 2016, and her paternal great-grandparents, Earl and Goldie Alleman.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 22, 2017, at 2 p.m., by Pastor Andy Kinsey at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive in Franklin. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday from noon until the time of service at the Grace United Methodist Church.
