Franklin gas station robbed at knife-point

Franklin police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station early Monday morning.

The clerk at the Admiral gas station at 237 W. Jefferson St. was cut on his hand when he grabbed the suspect’s hand when the robber reached into the cash drawer, Franklin police said.

The robbery downtown happened just after 5 a.m. The robber came into the gas station with a knife and demanded money, police said. After he got cash, he ran from the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as a stocky white male in his early to mid 20s and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, red baseball cap and black gym shorts.
