Applications open for area nonprofits

Applications for grants that benefit youth organizations are currently being accepted.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Johnson County, in cooperation with the Johnson County Community Foundation, offers $50 to $500 grants to area nonprofit organizations for youth-led service projects.

Grants can be awarded to youth groups, community organizations, schools, classrooms, religious organizations and other 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations for projects that are youth-led, address a serious community need in Johnson County, bring together diverse people and organizations and have a learning component on philanthropy.

Applications are available at jccf.org/youth-grants/.
