Woman injured in morning accident

A woman was injured and taken to the hospital after an accident Monday morning near Whiteland.

Just after 8 a.m., Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a crash at Graham Road and Paul Hand Boulevard. A railroad vehicle struck a sport-utility vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The driver of the sport-utility vehicle was taken to an Indianapolis hospital. She was conscious and talking to emergency workers after the accident, the report said.

The driver of the other vehicle did not appear to be injured, the report said.

Police have not yet released the names of the drivers involved in the accident.
