Betty Jane (Worlledge) Dorsey, 82, passed away on Wednesday evening, Sept. 6, 2017 at her residence at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.

She was born on December 6, 1934 in Charleston, West Virginia to Cecil and Veda (Ramsey) Worlledge.

Betty married (Willard) Dennis Dorsey. He preceded her in passing on December 26, 1991.

She is survived by two sons, Rod L. (Jailynn) Dorsey of Franklin and Jim D. (Debbie) Dorsey of Knightstown; three grandsons, Ross D. Dorsey of Indianapolis, Cord E. Dorsey of Franklin and Keith Denning of Grand Blanc, Michigan. She is also survived by brother, Donald (Mary Ellen) Worlledge of Roanoke, Virginia, sisters, Helen Legg of Mount Lookout, West Virginia and Sandy (Jerry) Massenburg of Charleston, West Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Doug (Maggie) Dorsey of Pool, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Joyce Dorsey of Otter Lake, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Dennis; sister, Jewel Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Jackie Legg, Bill Johnson and David Dorsey.

Betty attended Shiloh Church in Franklin for several years and later attended church at the Indiana Masonic Home.

Betty was employed by Riverview Hospital in Noblesville as a x-ray technician, retiring after many years of dedicated service to be a full-time grandma.

Rev. Charles Stanley will conduct a celebration of Betty’s life on Monday, September 11 at 6 p.m. at the Indiana Masonic Home, Kresge Chapel, 690 S. State St., Franklin. Friends may call on Monday, September 11 from 3 p.m. to time of celebration at the Kresge Chapel.

Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
