RICHMOND
L.Vance Moore, 72, of Richmond, and formerly of Franklin, passed away on Sept. 2, 2017 in Richmond.
He was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Indianapolis to Lloyd Ivan Moore and Annabelle (Mood) Moore.
He was a 1963 graduate of Franklin Community High School and later, was a graduate of Indiana University.
He was formerly the personnel manager of Arvin Industries in Franklin and Indianapolis and later the Human Resources Director of Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Ross) Moore; son, Greg Moore (Tamayo) of Franklin, daughter Kristi Ott (Brad) also of Franklin; and stepsons, Doug Ross of Indianapolis and Brent Ross (Julie) of Centerville. Also surviving are a sister, Peggy Coahran, of Summerton, South Carolina, and brother, Phillip Moore of Maple Park, Illinois; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen (Rogers).
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3469 Hillcrest Rd., Richmond, Indiana.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home of Fountain City.
