FRANKLIN
Crystal I. Hansome, 95, of Franklin, IN formerly of Indianapolis, IN and Jackson County, IN passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. She was born March 9, 1922 in Jackson County, IN to Delbert and Mabel (Killion) Stewart. She married Raymond W. Hansome on November 16, 1946 in Jackson County, IN, he preceded her in death on October 7, 1997.
Crystal had worked as an assembler for Western Electric in Indianapolis for thirty years. She was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Medora, IN. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, and spending time with all the different generations of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Brenda K. McKain of Franklin; three grandchildren, Loney McKain of Vallonia, IN, Bradley McKain of Franklin, IN, and Tonya Walker (John) of Trafalgar, IN; eight great-grandchildren, Casey Weaver (Lee) of Pulaski, PA, Breanna Willingham (Ryne) of Elizabethtown, KY, Devin McKain of Nashville, IN, Blake Kean of Trafalgar, IN, Hunter McKain of Vallonia, IN, Chase Kean of Trafalgar, IN, Jordan Mink of Bradenton, FL, and Shelbi Krontz of Ohio; great-great grandchildren Isaiah Weaver, Wesley Willingham, Maddux Willingham, Jillian Willingham, Jaxon Roberts, Resse Otten, Kade Otten, Cole Otten, Whitney Mink, Shyanne Krontz, and Cambria Krontz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother Stanley Stewart; a brother Alvin Stewart; sisters Helen Belliville and Agnes Spray, and her son-in-law Larry O. McKain on October 13, 1993.
A service will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
