Edinburgh basketball conducting fundraiser

The Edinburgh boys basketball program will conduct a golf scramble Oct. 1 to raise money for the upcoming season. The event will be played at Clifty Creek Golf Course in Hope.

Registration will be from 11 to 11:45 a.m., with a noon shotgun start. Entry fee is $50 per person (with four players to a team) and includes greens fees, a cart and dinner.

Whiteland graduate medals at world event

Taylor Dorothy, a 2014 Whiteland Community High School graduate, won a pair of bronze medals this week at the WKU World Martial Arts Championships in Killarney, Ireland.

Dorothy finished third in both musical forms and musical weapons. It was the first competition on foreign soil for Dorothy, who previously had won a gold medal in creative forms at the 2016 American Taekwondo Association worlds.
