Franklin business receives another grant

A new Franklin attraction is getting another grant to help with work to the building.

Urban Air, which is moving into the former Marsh store off U.S. 31, got an additional $17,000 from the Franklin Development Corp., a city funded organization that provides grants and loans to businesses.

The business is bringing a trampoline park and other activities to the building, and has been working to get the outside fixed up, including paint, replacing windows and replacing blocks.

Urban Air previously had asked for $10,000 to help with repairing the parking lot, but the request was increased to $50,000 earlier this year and approved by the Franklin Redevelopment Commission. Urban Air planned to spend $58,000 on the $108,000 total cost to repave the parking lot and invest more than $1 million in work to the building and equipment for their business.
