MADRID — Irish cycling team Aqua Blue says its team bus was burned by an arsonist in southeastern Spain while it competed in the Spanish Vuelta.

Aqua Blue posted photos of its scorched team bus on social media with the message: “Our team bus has been completely damaged in a cowardly arson attack over night.”

The team added that no one was injured in the fire and that local police had arrested a suspect.

The supposed attack happened Wednesday night after the 11th stage of the Vuelta while the team spent the night in a hotel.

Aqua Blue does not have a rider in the top 50 of the three-week race.
