Mary Ann (Deem) Duncan, 80, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at University Heights Health and Living in Indianapolis.

She was born December 23, 1936 in Danville, Indiana, to Eugene Deem and Louise (Malicoat) Wilcox.

She married David A. Duncan on July 30, 1954 in Indianapolis; he survives.

She worked for Milto Cleaners and Sears in Greenwood — operating the cafe, candy shop, and later in customer service. She later worked at the Hardee’s restaurant on State Road 135 and Smith Valley Road for six years.

She was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Stones Crossing and a current member of Northern Park Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Surviving is her husband, David A. Duncan of Franklin; children, David Duncan (Kathy) of Fort Wayne, Deborah Wallace (Bruce) of Camby, Donald Duncan (Monika) of Morgantown, Damon Duncan (Teresa) of Greenwood, Denise Hurst (Roger) of Acton and Darlene Sego (Jeff) of Franklin; sister, Patty Stoner (Jim) of Brownsburg; half-brother, Larry Deem of Jamestown; stepsisters, Betty Foster (Al) of Indianapolis and Barbara Barton (Forest) of Indianapolis; 19 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and great-granddaughter Audrey Sego.

The Rev. Marion Glover will conduct a service Thursday at 1 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
