MORGANTOWN

Mark D. Clem, 61, of Morgantown, IN, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017.

He was born November 1, 1955 in Franklin, Indiana to George E. and Pauline P. (Greene) Clem. He married Sharon R. (Halcomb) Clem on June 5, 1976 at Providence Christian Church, she survives. He was a 1973 graduate of Howell High School in Howell, Michigan. He attended Providence Christian Church for thirty eight years where he had served as deacon and trustee. He had coached basketball at Union Township Elementary School for four years. He was very active in Johnson County 4-H with his daughters. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, playing corn hole and hunting. He was a very competitive person.

Survivors include his wife Sharon R. (Halcomb) Clem of Morgantown, two daughters Lana M. Jochim (Peter) of Morgantown, Ashley D. Boner (Zach) of Morgantown, five grandchildren Kyndell Jochim, Kegan Jochim, Kyran Jochim, Colson Boner, Chloe Boner, his mother Pauline P. (Greene) Clem of Morgantown, brothers Mike Clem (Sandy) of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Tony Clem (Robin) of Southport. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Donald Clem.

Dr. Steven Sorensen will conduct a service Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Providence Christian Church, 4080 West County Road 100 North Bargersville. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin.
