RALEIGH, N.C. — A 23-year-old North Carolina man was fatally shot at an apartment complex.

Raleigh police say Quentin Judd died at a hospital Sunday. A department release says officers found Judd in a breezeway after responding to a call about a “loud party” about 3:15 a.m.

WRAL-TV reports Judd was a former basketball player at Shaw University, a private historically black college in Raleigh.

The apartment complex is three miles west of North Carolina State University and two miles south of PNC Arena. While not affiliated with any university, the apartment complex advertises shuttle services for students of NC State and William Peace universities.
