<p>Richard and Marian Martin of Greenwood, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by traveling to Tennessee to see the North American solar eclipse, and then vacationed in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. Afterward, they celebrated with family.</p>
<p>Mr. Martin and his wife were married Aug. 25, 1967 in Michigan.</p>
<p>Richard retired as a union carpenter after 40 years of service.</p>
<p>She worked many jobs, and is a homemaker.</p>
<p>Both worked to build homes for their family.</p>
<p>They have three children, Elizabeth Acker (Steven), Sarah Martin-Jones (Tyler) and Ryan Martin, all of Indiana, and Richard Martin (Jill) of Colorado; and three grandchildren.</p>
