BOYS CROSS-COUNTRY

Center Grove defeats Whiteland

The Trojans placed seven runners in the top 10 to defeat the Warriors at halftime of Center Grove-Whiteland football game Friday night.

Warriors runner Will Jefferson placed first overall, followed by Center Grove runners Nick Wilson and Archit Malik.

GIRLS CROSS-COUNTRY

Trojans get past Warriors

Center Grove defeated Whiteland 17-39, with Nina Fujii placing first overall. Trojans runners Stephanie Embree and Gabrielle Harrell were second and third, respectively.

VOLLEYBALL

Trojans sweep Red Devils

Center Grove defeated Pike on Thursday 25-17, 28-26, 25-8.

Ellen LeMasters led the way for the Trojans with 14 kills and 13 digs, while setter Madison Hammill had 36 assists and five service aces.

Emma Jones and Anna Line each produced nine kills in the win.

Warriors cruise to win

Whiteland scored four goals in the first half en route to a 5-1 win against Greenwood on Thursday.
