JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. — The families of a couple who vanished a month ago while hiking in Joshua Tree National Park will offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to their safe return.
Rachel Nguyen (pronounced Win) and Joseph Orbeso, who are in their 20s, were reported missing July 28 after they failed to check out of their accommodations near the park.
The couple’s car was later found at the Maze Loop trail in the northwestern area of the park.
Dozens of searchers, aided by dogs and helicopters, have tried to find the couple.
The San Bernardino Sun newspaper reported Friday (http://bit.ly/2ixEc1f ) that Orbeso’s father says there have been no clues on their whereabouts. He’s asking for the public’s help in finding them.
