SANTA ANA, Calif. — Southern California authorities investigating a series of carjackings and street robberies have arrested four alleged gang members — three of them juveniles.
Police say the crime spree this month in Santa Ana is suspected to include seven armed street robberies, two armed carjackings, one attempted street robbery, and one attempted robbery that ended with a suspect firing a gun at a vehicle.
Officials say all four suspects were identified as being involved in one or more of the incidents.
Investigators say the three juveniles arrested last week are documented or self-admitted gang members. The adult suspect, a 20-year-old, is an alleged gang associate.
The Orange County Register reported Wednesday (http://bit.ly/2w1iF61 ) that all four could face numerous charges including robbery, carjacking, and gang allegations and enhancements.
