Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy injured in accident

A Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputy received minor injuries in a vehicle accident this past weekend.

Deputy David Lowe, 46, was driving his sheriff’s office vehicle and was struck by another vehicle in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Line Road and State Road 135 at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Adrian R. Zent, 48, of Indianapolis, told police he got a cramp in his leg and took his foot off the brake. He said he was unable to stop in time to avoid the vehicle in front of him, driven by Jeannette L. Glover, 49, of Indianapolis. Glover’s vehicle hit the back of Lowe’s vehicle, which was stopped in traffic, according to the accident report.

Glover and Lowe complained of head and neck pain, but refused treatment at the scene.

Lowe went to the Immediate Care Center in Franklin, where he was treated and released, Sheriff Doug Cox said.
