County to host water education training

The Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a Hoosier Riverwatch Basic Training event Sept. 15.

The purpose of the training is to involve Indiana residents in becoming active stewards of Indiana’s water resources through watershed education, water monitoring and clean-up activities.

The program will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 550 E. Jefferson St., Franklin.

The workshop is free but participants must contact the district office by Sept. 8 at 317-736-9540, ext. 101, or email [email protected] to register.
