Lilly Endowment accepts scholarship applications

The Johnson County Community Foundation will award three Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships in 2018.

The number of Lilly Endowment Scholarships available to each county in Indiana is based on the county’s population. Most recently, Johnson County has awarded two Lilly Scholarships.

Recipients receive full tuition to the Indiana college or university of their choice and a $900 yearly stipend for books and equipment.

Online applications are due Aug. 25.

Winners are selected based on volunteer community service, academic preparation and performance, leadership and good character.

Trafalgar student wins scholarship

Lucy Kieweg of Trafalgar won a $2,000 Brothers Scholarship through The Heritage Group Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who intend to enroll at a two or four year accredited university. Kieweg will attend Anderson University.

Recipients must be a child of an employee of The Heritage Group. Winners are chosen based on academic records, financial need and personal achievements.
