Work set to begin on State Road 252

Crews will begin paving a section of State Road 252, east of Interstate 65 near Edinburgh beginning next week.

The work is part of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s $12 million project to rehabilitate State Road 252 in Shelby County.

Starting next week, a section of County Road 700W at State Road 252 will be closed while crews move work from the east side of the project to the west side of where work is being done, according to a news release from the state department of transportation.

The six miles of State Road 252 between I-65 and Flat Rock will also remain closed.

Besides the reconstruction, workers also will re-align ditches and install drainage pipes, the release said.
