Sylvia B. Morgan

GREENWOOD

Sylvia B. Morgan, 95, of Greenwood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017.

She was born on February 21, 1922 in Decatur, Illinois, to the late Alex and Belle (Love) Riley.

Sylvia was employed by American Fletcher National Bank (Chase Bank) from 1958 until her retirement in 1980. Following her retirement from the bank, Sylvia was the bookkeeper at Greenwood Village for approximately 10 years.

Sylvia was a lifetime member of the Church of God in Anderson where she sang in the choir and a quartet.

She collected teddy bears and was an avid collector and creator of both wax and ceramic dolls.

Sylvia loved to spend her winters in Florida, but most of all loved and cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” (Judy) Morgan and Larry (Mary) Morgan, both of Greenwood, Cindy (Marty) Adams of Noblesville; stepchildren, David Morgan and Linda (George) O’Malley; grandchildren, Tim (Dawn) Morgan and Jeff ( Wendi) Morgan, both of Greenwood, Sherri Holland and Terri (Donald) Hogan, both of Indianapolis, Russ (Maggie) Morgan and Mary Jo (Mark) Pennington, both of Greenwood, Doug Adams of Morrisville, North Carolina, Chrissy (John) Henderson of New Castle and Jeremy Adams of Greenwood; 25 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children in 1972, Ollie Marion Morgan; second husband, Albertus Morgan; and siblings, Bethel, Francis, Anne, Bob, Margie and Bill.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Wilson St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, with burial to follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Services have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
