St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin, is celebrating its sesquicentennial celebration today.

The church is celebrating 150 years as a Catholic parish (1868-2018).

The feast of St. Rose of Lima will be celebrated at all Masses: 4:30 p.m. today and 8 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

There will be a special pitch-in meal celebration after the 11 a.m. Mass Sunday in the Parish Life Center.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Bargersville, 101 E, Street, Bargersville, will have its third annual October fish fry and craft fair on Sept. 16.

The craft fair will set up between 7 and 9 a.m. and the fair opens at 9 a.m. on the outdoor property of the church.

The fee is $25 (pre-register by Sept. 12). Registration after that date is $35.

The fish fry will start at 10 a.m. in the community center across from the church, and will feature Alaskan codfish and tenderloin sandwiches. Hot dogs will be available as well. Sides include homemade cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad and a wide variety of desserts.

The fish fry and craft fair close at 4 p.m.

All funds will support church missions and ministries. Donations will be welcomed.

Smith Valley Baptist Church, 4682 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, will host a concert by Ivan Parker on Sept. 25.

Tickets start at $15.

Providence Christian Church, 4080 W. County Road 100 North, Bargersville, is recruiting vendors for the church’s craft fair on Oct. 7.

The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

A 10-by-10 outdoor space may be rented for $30.

Proceeds from the event will go to sponsor local community outreach. The event is sponsored by Christian Women’s Fellowship.
