JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — Firefighters from multiple agencies are tackling a fire burning at a large lumber mill in central Oregon.

Chief Terry Ney from Lane Fire Authority tells local news media that the fire at Wood Recovery lumber mill could burn for days.

The blazed started in the log deck area of the mill in Junction City just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

The fire has damaged some mill equipment as well as fire department equipment.

The Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
