Meredith Colias and Joseph S. Pete of Griffith, announce their engagement.
Miss Colias is the daughter of Jim and Susan Colias of Highland.
The future groom is the son of Judith Pete of Munster and the late Lake County Circuit Court Judge Robert A. Pete.
Colias graduated from Indiana University and earned her master’s degree from the University of Illinois-Springfield. She is employed as a reporter for the Post-Tribune.
Pete graduated from Indiana University after serving in the Iraq War as an infantryman. He is employed as a reporter at the Times of Northwest Indiana and is a former Daily Journal reporter.
The wedding is set for later in 2017 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Calumet City, Illinois.
