WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Officials say the body of a missing fisherman from Pennsylvania has been found.

The Luzerne County coroner says the body of 54-year-old Rick Bevan was discovered by another fisherman in the Susquehanna (sus-kwe-HAN’-nah) River Thursday evening.

Bevan’s wife reported him missing Tuesday after he didn’t return from a fishing trip on the river in Wilkes-Barre (WILKS’-ba-ree) Tuesday.

Crews found his boat, which was upright, but no sign of him. Dive teams spent late Tuesday and Wednesday searching for Bevan, but the search was called off around noon Thursday.

The coroner tells The Citizens’ Voice Bevan’s death does not appear to be suspicious.

Officials are still investigating.
