IRWIN, Pa. — Authorities have released the name of the man who died after he was trapped beneath the counterweight on a piece of heavy equipment at a western Pennsylvania business.
Authorities say 55-year-old Timothy Grills of Penn Township was working on the equipment Thursday at Aarcon Enterprises Inc. when a portion separated and fell to the garage floor.
The North Huntingdon Township company’s website says it provides heavy construction equipment and operators for major site improvement projects.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Grills was employed by Aarcon.
The company is located about 25 miles (40.2 kilometers) east of Pittsburgh.
