WALTERBORO, S.C. — Sheriff’s deputies in South Carolina are investigating after a woman was found shot to death at her home.

Colleton County sheriff’s deputies told local media that officers were called to a home near Walterboro around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies said the woman died from a single gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel declared her dead.

Coroner Richard Harvey said the victim was 24-year-old Tahara Crosby. Harvey said an autopsy was planned Thursday.

No arrests have been reported.
