TAOS, N.M. — New Mexico State Police say they are investigating a shooting near Taos that left a man with a leg wound.
Officers were dispatched to a shots fired about 9 a.m. Thursday at a home in the community of Arroyo Seco.
State Police say an unidentified man showed up at the residence, argued with another man outside and then shot him in one of his legs.
The suspect left the area, possibly in a vehicle.
The victim was transported to a hospital in Espanola for treatment and police say the man is expected to recover.
Police say the victim didn’t provide officers with information about the suspect.
