Lancers roll past Southwestern

Led by a 40 from Vanessa McManaway, Edinburgh earned an easy victory against Southwestern (Shelby) at Timbergate on Tuesday, 191 to 277.

Kenzie Hill and Kierra Richards shot 49 and 50, respectively, for the Lancers.

Woodmen fall to New Pal

Greenwood was defeated at New Palestine on Tuesday night, 179 to 206.

Maecee Terhune led the Woodmen with a round of 48, while Laila Stein contributed a 51.

Warriors coast in three-way

Dropping 20 strokes from its season-opening score, Whiteland rolled to victory against Brown County and Edinburgh at Salt Creek on Monday.

The Warriors’ score of 186 was 19 shots better than the host Eagles and 28 strokes better than the Lancers. Bri Harwell tied for the low round of the day with a 39, with Allie Watson (48), Rachel Giroud (49) and Lucy Gearhart (50) rounding out the scoring.

Roncalli sends eight to USA camp

Eight members of the Roncalli boys volleyball program traveled to Chicago late last month for the USA Volleyball High Performance camp, where coaches from across the nation come to evaluate top prospects.

The Rebels invited to attend were senior Blake Powell, juniors Sam Eiland and Zach Straumins, sophomores Josh Byrne and Zach Mayer and freshmen Luke Eiland, Sean Haberthy and John Kesterson.
