Police are investigating after a group of women pepper sprayed a manager at Greenwood Park Mall, and then ran with stolen items.
Just before 4 p.m. Sunday, police were called to Lady Footlocker in the mall. The manager told police she saw three women come into the store and split up, then watched one of them put a shirt in her purse. The manager confronted the woman, asking for the shirt back, and the other women began yelling at the manager, according to the Greenwood Police Department report.
One of the women sprayed the manager in the face with pepper spray. The women took the shirt and a pair of shorts and all three ran, the report said.
Police are investigating.
