Lilly Endowment accepts scholarship applications
The Johnson County Community Foundation will award three Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships in 2018.
The number of Lilly Endowment Scholarships available to each county in Indiana is based on population. Most recently, Johnson County has awarded two Lilly Scholarships.
Recipients receive full tuition to the Indiana college or university of their choice and a $900 yearly stipend for books and equipment.
Online applications are due Aug. 25.
Winners are selected based on volunteer community service, academic preparation and performance, leadership and good character.
Roncalli student chosen for dance academy
A Roncalli High School sophomore was chosen to attend a summer dance intensive training in Chicago.
Sophomore Sophie Louthain attended the Hubbard Street Dance Advanced Summer Intensive in July.
More than 1,000 dancers from age 15 to 18 auditioned for 90 spots.
