FRANKLIN
Kenneth Eugene Carpenter, 68, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.
He was born on March 5, 1949, in Indianapolis, to his parents, Kenneth H. and Irene Bertha (Coovert) Carpenter.
He was a welder and worked for Arvins and High-View.
Kenneth loved go-kart racing and won many trophies over the years. He enjoyed NASCAR, reading the newspaper, and old hot rods.
Most of all, Kenneth loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Jennifer (Tim) Key of Franklin, Brenda (Troy) Thompson and Stephanie (John) Tasca, both of Columbus; two sisters, Joyce Gayton of Indianapolis and Patricia Ann Burton of New Whiteland; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Chaplain Don Sanders will be conducting a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. 31. The family will be hosting a visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
