ELDORA, Iowa — A central Iowa police chief has been suspended a week because of an off-duty incident.

Eldora Mayor Bob Jeske told the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier that Chief Mike Ludwig was suspended Friday for how he handled a situation while not on duty but while wearing his uniform.

Jeske would not describe the incident, but he says Ludwig got “out of line.”

A home phone listing for Ludwig couldn’t be found Monday.
