Elmer Radford, Jr.

FRANKLIN

Elmer Radford, Jr., passed away on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 at his residence in Franklin.

He was born on July 11th, 1928 in Somerset, Kentucky to Elmer and Nancy Ellen (Inabnitt) Radford. He married Lucy (Sapp) Radford in 1950. He is survived by daughter, Patty Jo Bourquien of Franklin and son, Richard Keith (Ellen) Radford of Shelbyville; three grandchildren and two sisters, Carrie Johnson and Ruth Williamson, both of Shelbyville. He was preceded in passing by his parents; his wife, Lucy; and five brothers, Floyd, Nelson, Herschel, Milton and Bea.

Elmer was a graduate of Center Grove High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1954 to 1956.

He was employed by Inland Container for twenty-nine years as a Repair/Machine Operator. He also owned a Lawncare Service.

He was a former Masonic Mason.

A celebration of Elmer’s life will be held on Monday, August 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Monday, August 7th from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin where military honors will be conducted.
