Visit with clydesdale horses at office

The Express Employment Indy South office is bringing some special visitors to town for a Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser this month.

The company’s Express Clydesdale horses are coming to the Greenwood office on Aug. 17. The visit will include wagon rides, pictures with the Clydesdales and other special activities.

Admission is free to the event but donations are suggested for special activities. The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

Express has set a goal of $3,500 to be raised at the event and donate to Riley Hospital for Children.

The black and white Express Clydesdales stand 17 to 18 hands high and weigh over 2,000 pounds each. The Express Clydesdales were named world champions in the six-horse hitch at the 2017 Calgary Stampede.

In addition to competing on a national stage, the horses have participated in some of the country’s most recognized parades and promotional events, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Fiesta Bowl parade, Orange Bowl parade, Hollywood Parade and Kentucky Derby Pegasus parade. The Clydesdales also escorted Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge in North America at the Calgary Stampede in 2011.

The Greenwood office is located at 201 S. Emerson Ave.
