A Greenwood motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for treatment after hitting a dog in the road this weekend.
John Forte, 62, was riding a motorcycle west on Fairview Road near Shad Hill Road about 8:20 p.m. Saturday. Forte crashed after hitting a dog that had run onto the road, a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report said.
Forte was taken to Community Hospital South for treatment of a head injury. He was not wearing a helmet, the report said.
The dog ran off and was not located, the report said.
